
These hearing protectors belonged to my grandfather. I was wearing them when he taught me to shoot, more than 40 years ago, and wore them whenever I did some shooting up at their place. After my grandparents moved into assisted living, they must have found their way to Dad's place with Gramp's wood shop tools and stuff. Today I found them in his old garage when we were over there looking for PPE preparatory to cutting a bunch of steel panels (see the VAB thread over on Eyrie Motors for details).
Sadly, all these years later, the cushions are rock-hard with age and the foam inside has disintegrated. With thanks for their long service, it is time for them to go.
