Atsuko Tanaka, the original voice actress for Ghost in the Shell's Major Motoko Kusanagi has passed away from an un-named illness at the age of 61 on Tuesday the 20th of August
She has a long list of acting roles but I will always remember her role as the Major as my introduction to Anime.
