   Just a quick question, as I was rereading NXE for the nth time recently... what's the 'Clone Me' Bonus Theater commercial a spoof of? The reference escapes me completely.

Former ESPN SportsCenter anchor Keith Olbermann worked briefly for the FOX Sports Network a couple of years back. When he first signed up, there was a series of ads heralding his arrival on the network (as he was one of the most popular SportsCenter guys when he was with ESPN, and had been out of sports broadcasting for some time); the tagline was "Same Keith. New Network." "Clone Me" was one of those ads.

As it turned out, he was on FSN for maybe a year, first as the regular evening anchor of FOX Sports News and then with just his own weekly hour, The Keith Olbermann Evening News; guess it didn't work out. I'm given to understand that he's a somewhat difficult employee to keep happy.

   Thanks! Every time I read one of your fics, I note a fair number of inside jokes or subtle clues that I don't 'get', and this time that one prompted me to post. I appreciate your taking the time to explain it. n_n
