LAST EDITED ON Jun-19-15 AT 11:25 PM (EDT) >He doesn't have a chance, it looks like they're just seconds away from >launching a massed Look Cute attack that'll reduce him to a quivering >heap of chibi-ness. I can't now put my hands on a link to it (it wasn't a tweet, I saw it screencapped off I dunno Myface or Spacetube or something, whatever the kids are using these days, in a news article), but I've also seen a picture of someone doing that same meme with a trio of supremely uninterested tigers. Seriously, if you can find it, it's epic. The tigers clearly do not give one-tenth of one shit about whatever the hell modern interpretive dance move their keeper is doing. One of them's even looking at him like, "Dude, what is your problem?" :) EDIT: Phil found it! Look at the tiger on the left. He is clearly not buying it. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. >Pfft. I was refering to the UF story mentioned waaaaay back when that >had Zoner working with the intelligent Velociraptors Moe Larry and >Curly from WDF's LSD Oh, don't bother. That was actually one of mine, it's G and the Stooges, and, well, the concept of the Stooges is the only good part and we just discussed it, so. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. >Give yourself some credit: it's not the worst clunker in the >back catalog. > >(I'm not gonna go reread it just now, but if memory serves, the only >major problem with it is the premise: it's a sequel to a >MegaZone-centric story, and it was never clear to me why Zoner didn't >follow up on that one himself.) I don't think we ever bothered explaining it, because that wasn't really the way we did things in those days, but basically it was just a matter of timing. He didn't get round to it fast enough. --G. -><- Benjamin D. >Now why did you have to go and do that. In the same vein, and because I apparently can't sleep: I'm gonna go through this thing with commentary and stuff! 19: Man, 60 seconds too late for an Iron Maiden reference here. 70: Immortal watch for an Immortal man of action. 75: Okay, I know this predates him, but I'm picturing the Stooges now in my head as Dr Dino. Or at least with that crazy tongue and the eyes that don't face the same direction. And the weird backpack of stuff. 115: Dunno why, but the 'voice actor' in my head for Moe is Cat-Nall 116: If this were actually Nall talking, the next scene would have been him scraping goop outta his eyes. 140: I see these guys went to the Stormtrooper school of shooting. 171: I finally figured out why the metric bugs me: 'cause Gryph goes ON AND ON in Manhunt about being happy to get back to imperial units. 229: Yeah, Dr Dino is totally a V Sapiens 310: I don't get the Harland Valaquen reference? I mean, I get that it's Zoner, but... 412: I could SWEAR that something else took place on Jourgensen, but google tells me that I'm full of it 422: Nice word, 3 points. 438: Because adventures *always* search the desk... All in all, not a horrible piece. Certainly there are worse (and worse in The Exile period at that. -- -Pasha "Don't change the subject" "Too slow, already did." |
