"I am standing here beside myself, a second time!"

LAST EDITED ON 07-09-03 AT 10:11 AM (EDT) (Edit: It only just occurred to me that, while cut from the same cloth, Haim Saban and Carl Macek are in fact not the same person. D'oh!)I just saw the fansub of Macross Zero 2, and if anything they've pushed the integration of cels and CG to be even more seamless... We see a Valk walking in Guardian mode instead of just hovering, the opposing force VFs get much more visibility, and we start yo learn more of the past of the seting - the real proto-culture, not Sat-- er, Macek's hokey energy source. I think the McDonnel Douglas (At least, I think that's who made them... I'm remembering from around the time of the first OVA release, that they were supposed to be the export models, like RL F-20s) opponent VFs have actually displaced the VF5000 at the top of my 'I WANT ONE!!' list, purely with the k3wlfaktor of having flapping wings. - that makes the top five list McDD-dunno-the-name, VF-5000FAST2 Super Super Star Mirage, (since its space handling sucks without the booster, and the original FAST for that model had poor endurance), VF-4 Lightning III, VB-1 Konig Monster, and VF-14 Hunter (the model the Varauta Eigerzorene and Panzerzorene from Macross 7 were derived from, and which is sleeker than either, though the AZ-130 Panzerzorene has it outdone in the looks nasty department - it's kind of a tossup between those two, trading a bit more durability in the Pz for performance in the Hunter) Anyway, look around the file sharing networks, it's out there at around 190Mb. Just make sure to buy a copy when it comes out officially, so they keep making 'em, ya? - CD
