"Comments and rereads: Wounded Rose"

Thought I'd start rereading Symphony, and came up with some questions/comments. > "Can I help you, miss?" asked one of the Raiders fans in section 115.

>Huh? It works on a several different levels. When shopping, and a sales clerk comes up and asks "Can I help you?" and you don't want to be bothered you say "Just looking." Here, "miss" could be a reference to the female batter, or a reference to the batter missing the ball. "Just looking" has to do with the batter taking a called strike (as opposed to a swinging one), which is also known as "caught looking."

It's a "yo' mama!" (tu madre = your mother; Juanito = John) Regards,
