"Star-Crossed No 3: Goodyear (Pop. 225)"

So, I had an entire stream-of-consciousness response post ready.

...Reset button is right next to the Post one.

Before I get up and scream for a minute or so:

The 'Tali is a hostage' scene is replete with awesome and fun on all sides.

The cue that Mordin recognized G right off is a well-played bit of Chekovian gunmanship.

Goodyear is a Classic RPG Town Of Adventure, isn't it?

Yeah, sorry 'bout that. I'll provide next time, of course, but I just can't... get into redoing that, at this point.

Ja, -n

And gives just a bit of that "plot enforcing the Arbitrary Headcount Limit" flavour. Although to be fair, Mass Effect is pretty good about not doing that.

... oh, that's -brilliant-, there, that is. Gryph, I didn't even notice that the first time.

Clever!

Wish I could bask in the credit, but that's not actually the reason. :)

I just want to say that so far, all three parts have been rollicking good--excellent classic sci-fi adventure.

I'm getting a bit of a Spacehounds of IPC vibe from it, if you've ever read that particular Doc Smith classic. I can't really quantify it--it's just that the two stories share membership in the Man (and Girl Sidekick) Versus the Universe genre.

Oh, and they both really get going after the shipwreck. :)

Well! It looks like Tali has found something to talk about back home. All she needs to do now is work out the skeleton of a trade agreement, or a settlement agreement, or both.

I'm beginning to think that in UF, Tali'Zora may be named after the famous Tali'Shukra, who brought home an improvement in the food supply after her pilgrimage.

It seems very plausible, doesn't it?

I was figuring her for a namesake ancestor, myself. And grin with unrepressed glee everytime Gryph drops hints about miss Tali'Zorah nar Rayya.
