   ...by the sheer amount of whitespace DCF6.23 sticks into posts, particularly following .sigs?

Admins, any way to cut it down to maybe a line of space instead of, like, three?

It is awfully whitespace-heavy, isn't it? I dunno as I'm annoyed about it, precisely, but it's odd after the old version.

I don't like the tiny lo-rez toolbar icons much, either.

As far as I know, no. Not as an administrative setting, anyway. It could probably be done by screwing with the layout markup in the template file, but I'm not going to do that. Zoner can, if he's feeling adventurous.

yeah, ths toolbar icons do nothing for me.
I'm finding I'm mousing over all of them, and looking at the URL
that each links to to find out what the icon does.

Gryph had the text next to the icon turned off for a while, but it is on now.

Well, it's certainly different. The last version certainly was
more graphically appealing to my eyes , while this is ...well...
spartan is the word that pops into my head first off the bat.

No objections otherwise , except maybe for the fact that it
added my current .sig to the mails which I'd already posted.
Henceforth the double sigs on some posts. Not really bad,
just disorienting at first .
