"There's an Intro in here somewhere..."

   Greenthings and hallucinations to all.

I just noticed this conference and realized I hadn't gotten around to a proper intro. So...

I'm the guy to blame for the Crystal Kingdom Archives (Available at finer raac archives everywhere), as well as the occasional post on various libertarian and gun groups and/or mailing lists. I'm a member (such as we have members) of the conspiracy to inflict L. Neil Smith on this year's Bubonicaon and on the 2004 Libertarian Presidential ticket. I'm also the sucker who opened his big mouth and volunteered to act as the New Mexico connection for Pink Pistols. Besides all that, I'm busily collecting rejection slips from various publishers and magazines, while attending NMSU and learning how to write fiction for presentation in your evening news or daily paper. What? You thought journalists wrote the truth? Not if they want to get a regular paycheck...

Oh yeah. I also happen to be afflicted with fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and multiple chemical sensitivities, which makes doing things like keeping up with school a real trip.

As for how I found this place....I stumbled across UF when raiding the raac archives a while back, read it, and enjoyed it. Then a friend pointed out a URL for SoS to me back when the first movement had just been posted, and it became a permanent part of my bookmark list. (And still it took me until now to get around to the forums....what a slacker, eh?)

Interesting premise behind your stories there. And from looking at the front page, it leads me to wonder....

Did you start DHJ as a way to work out your own deamons over what happened to you in real life, or was it meant as escapism, or something else entirely.

And, any word on when you'll get the next part of the OMG/AMS crossover done?

Of COURSE you wernt expecting it!

Well, it didn't start that way. But you know how stories have a way of taking off when you least expect them to. I actually started DHJ as a way to get past writer's block on a Knights In Tarnished Armor story (those are the ones I'm collecting rejection slips on - seems publishers have this silly idea that pulp fiction doesn't sell big enough to warrant publishing), and before I knew it, I was pouring a lot of very personal stuff out.

I'm not quite sure, but I'm working on the climactic battle right now, so I expect it'll be done soon. Probably sooner than I expect, given that I'll be undertaking an enforced semi-vacation from the net soon. I'm kind of in the same kind of financial bind that Gryphon's in, except that I know I'll be going back to school next month, so I don't dare head back up the mountain to crash at my sister's place. However, once I get this battle scene wrapped up and tie up the loose ends, the third part will be hitting the net.

I'd just like to say, "cool" :)

and yes, if you're wondering why the "==Jeremy" part of my .sig looks familiar, I'm the crazy guy who randomly gave you web space a while back :)

That explains why it looks familiar! I remember I thought your machine had gone down when I couldn't get there for a while, then I changed ISPs and didn't have any trouble updating files, so I realized it had to have been my old school account, rather than your machine. Either that or TTPro wasn't cooperating properly. Either way, I definitely appreciate the web space. Geocities just keeps getting worse and worse, and what you did made it possible for a lot of people to read the stories who never would have tried if they'd stayed on Geocities. What really surprised me was when even the Nisut(AUS) commented on having read and enjoyed the stories.

Nope. It's Her. The -t is a feminine suffix in Kemetic.

Glad I could help :) FWIW, my server is still around, although it's changed names. I had info in the MOTD around the time it changed, but (checking last) it looked like you hadn't logged in, so you may have missed it. If you're still interested in having your stuff up on my server, I'm certainly willing to be a mirror. Feel free to e-mail me about it, if you are still interested. What can I say, I liked (and, in fact, still do like) your stories.
