"Your Weekly Annoyance."

   What to say?

I discovered Eyrie through NXE, specifically through a review that complained about DJ Croft being an underaged James Bond. I believe in free speech, I believe in reviewers being able to say what they like, I believe in right of reply, and I also believe that this is not the correct thread to discuss pluses and minuses of NXE.

Besides, it's probably been done plenty of times.

Through various convulated routes, I read through the Core UF stories, puzzled through the injokes, and abandoned it.

Then recently, I was introduced to Symphony Of The Sword by Static-Pulse, who I met in another channel (#SubCafe, for those interested).

Being about the third Utena fanfic I have ever read, I was quite intrigued by the premise. That, and I was interested in seeing what happened to the cast of the original UF.

And so, after reading through most of the UF archives (apart from some Exile stories, since I'm highly allergic to angst), here I am.

I go by the handle of Damien Kellis, which is pretentious enough in itself, so let's just leave it at that. I've been writing fanfic and original fic since 1995, and my first released fic was in 1997, which probably says something about my writing speed.

And I come from Singapore. Not sure where? Look in the South-East Asian region. As such, I'm not the best English speaker around, so forgive me if I make any mistakes.

Thanks to National Service, my online existence is restricted to the weekends, when I'm actually anywhere near an Internet connection. So I may be a bit late in replying to things.

Seems to be about it.
