That he fooled Ein, Definately. Edward always struck me as the type who suffered from oohh shiny syndrome and would have starved by simply forgetting to eat if she hadn't been adopted by Ein (in uf) or the Bebop's (in source).
Then again, maybe Durendal HASNT gone rampant yet? To be honest, this Durendal sounds really like something a computer would say. Maybe he's realised that he has to come home again to make that next step beyond? (ie stable rampancy?)
