I suppose it's the obvious thing to call them, although, as noted in the annotations, it's a bit of a popular misnomer—those wagons the westward settlers used in the 19th centuries weren't Conestogas. Conestoga wagons were heavy freight wagons, not suitable for long-distance transport across the undeveloped prairie.
