"Juniper and her Amber Duelist ring"
 
   I was just rereading Symphony 5, Ash Knight and I caught a detail that the Annotations didn't cover. Clef gave Juniper a Duelist ring to get into the Forest of Secrets. When she puts on the ring:

"A Duelist's ring," she mused. She felt a completely
inappropriate grin (given the situation) spreading across her face as
she slipped the ring onto her left ring finger. The signet flickered,
then changed color, deepening to a rich amber.
Clef raised an eyebrow. "Hmm." Then he seemed to reach some
conclusion, as he shook his head, straightened and looked her in the
eyes.

Should we know the significance of this? I'm wondering if this ring is like the Lens that Skuld gives out.

Of course, if I'm looking to hard or if this is a detail we will learn later, please let me know.

Hmm, indeed. This is an artifact of an earlier draft that we decided to leave in. Whether it means anything at all is still up in the air. ALC

   Doh! Ok, I missed that. To be fair though, the line number listed in the Annotation is 229 and the line with "Hmmm" is 269, so I can be forgiven a little for overlooking?

Anyway, thanks for the annotations in the first place! It is one of the features I love most of the Eyrie works (aside from the works themselves, of course.)
