   Did you seriously let all of last year go by without actually managing to finish and post anything? A year in which you weren't taking any classes, didn't have a job, and generally had no other projects demanding your time apart from fooling around in the VAB once or twice a week starting in October? A year in which you'd written most of a damn novel before the end of April, and then... just accomplished nothing for the rest of it?

What the fuck, son? This will not do.

Don't be so hard on yourself. We're coming out of what I called Three Years of Trauma, or Life in Pandemic.

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm still trying to figure out what normal is, and I'm a bit off-balance. This is coming from a guy who didn't do much different, if anything.

   It's one reason I find the Nanowrimo events useful: it pushes a schedule of 'have an idea ready to go, then write in the designated timespan, then edit once that's done'

   It happens. The last 4 years have gone by fast in some ways and dreadfully slow in others; but I've definitely not got 4 years worth of stuff done during them.

If it's any consolation, Gryph, I haven't managed to finish a decent-seized project since I wrapped up Harry Potter and the Unexpected Public School, my stealth crossover with OR. And that was in 2020.

   Gryphon, you should never feel like you're obligated to write. That turns it into a chore, which is no fun for anyone, especially you.

On the other hand, choosing to spend some time working on a project like this can be cathartic and therapeutic. And like I told my D&D group last weekend, we all crave attention and validation! XD

I, for one, still very much look forward to the continuation of your stories, and I seem to recall young Gin Shepard is waiting in the wings. (Holy crap, that was a -year- ago?)

Heck, I'd donate to Patreon or something similar if I could, but I recognize the legal issues there. As it is, I'm not sure how much help I could be from like eight states away, but if I can I will.
