"Punny BattleTech names"
|
LAST EDITED ON Jan-18-24 AT 06:05 PM (EST) Last night I came up with a horrible pun for naming the Hunchback and the Wolverine in the BattleTech playthrough I'm doing. I've named them... ... Starsky and Hunch.
So, has anybody else named their mechs using bad puns, or is it just me?
Michael Michael C. Fortner "Maxim 37: There is no such thing as "overkill". There is only "open fire" and "I need to reload". |

>So, has anybody else named their mechs using bad puns, or is it just >me? I don't generally use puns, but a lot of my 'Mech names in various BT/MW-themed games over the years have been jokes or references of one kind or another. The PPC-armed Black Knight called Reddy Kilowatt, for instance, or the Hunchback named This Machine (short for "This Machine Kills Fascists", an abbreviation that later turned up on one of the unique named weapons in Fallout New Vegas). I also went through a phase where I was naming all of my characters' 'Mechs after World War II bombers, e.g., Hang the Expense, Lead Magnet, and Section Eight. --G. In hindsight, I imagine the Section Eight joke would make zero sense to anyone in 3025. -><- Benjamin D.
