>Rough live TL of her discussion (post her latest karaoke stream), says >she said it was half that, half divergence of company direction and >her personal goals.Funnily enough, I just watched a Rin Penrose clip discussing the future of vtubing and the top comment hit on what I think has caused the recent spat of graduations from HL: trying to turn vtubers into idol singers. The physical demands of idol singing and the mental stamina requirements of regular streaming content do not mesh well, and it's causing strain that is leading to more frequent "mental health breaks" and nearly constant issues with burnout. The post-COVID push for more concerts and more public appearances, the increasing amount of "homework" the talents are saddled with, is causing psychological drain that is leaking more and more into the streaming side of things. I just don't think it's a coincidence that HL has had three graduations in a year that all cited some variation of "creative differences," two of which of returned to indie vtubing where they aren't required to dance and sing as part of a contract. -------------------------- CdrMike, Overwatch Reject "You know, the world could always use more heroes." - Tracer, Overwatch |
