"OTOY - Unification"
 
   So in this week's "Today I Learned," I learned one thing that amazed me and another that made me feel old(er).

The first is there's a company named OTOY that is involved in next-level graphics software that is rendering works of art that are just this side of the Uncanny Valley.

The other is they've been working with the Roddenberry Archive to produce a series of short films that are absolutely stunning, the most recent released this past Monday (11/18) to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of Star Trek: Generations.

A YTer spliced together all three films, titled "Regeneration," "Memory Wall," and now "Unification." Word of warning, keep some tissues handy for the end.

Yeah, seems OTOY is touchy about anybody posting the videos anywhere but their channel. Here's the links to the individual clips:
