Could be worse, I play on Puzzle PIrates, where everybody is a pirate.
You can a parrot, or a monkey or an octopus, but it's nearly impossible to do so. They're only given out as part of GM run events. about 1% of the population has one, if that. They sell for millions when somebody actually sells one. You can get a whole island for less.
