>I wouldn't hold my breath. NCSoft and Perfect World are extremely >hostile towards each other. If there's even a whiff of a hint that >Missing Worlds might sell out to Perfect World then it's all off. Huh. I've been poking my head in on the Titan forums, and Perfect World doesn't appear to come up at all in relation to MWM, or in relation to this particular arrangement. The general gist seems to be that the CoH IP would be spun to its own company, which could then license the IP to other people (to allow it to be referenced by successor projects like CoT), possibly license the engine/server binary itself to allow running of I23 maint. mode (NO source code or user/player data would be carried over), plus license support for "CoH 1.5/Atlas Park Revival" which would be essentially a CoH Unreal 4 client running on said servers. Further details, including the original announcement, can be found here: http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php/topic,10284.0.html For what it's worth, Valence Online and Heroes & Villains have declined the opportunity of possibly tapping back to the CoH IP. MWM still has an interest, but it all depends on whether or not this ever goes through. ---- Philip

LAST EDITED ON Sep-05-14 AT 04:00 PM (EDT) >NCSoft hates Perfect World. I >mean Steve Jobs going nuclear on Google levels of hatred. It says something about how both companies have behaved that I'd much rather Perfect World take over CoH, however indirectly, than NCSoft have anything to do with it. Ever. (Not that PWI seems likely to do that, given Champions Online.) (EDIT: er, have anything to do with it again, that is.) "Mathematics brought rigor to economics. Unfortunately, it also brought mortis." - Kenneth Boulding
