Thats only because the Zoomies are so funky you have to be an officer to take a leak. Navy all the way, Mc F. At the very least you get to take your bunk and mess into battle with you. Gives you one heck of an incentive to keep her in one piece if they start shooting at your home, you know?

Ah, but unlike Squids, we can be here for breakfast, there for lunch, and back for dinner. And we don't have to share our beds in 3 shifts..... :)

though to offer a sobering thought, the old "we send the O's off to fight" thing ain't all it used to be - I got a couple my enlisted guy and girls out on the ground in the AOR right now, running convoys, intel, TCN, PRT, doing all sorts of work...ain't any pilots in sight...and I'm looking at deploying later this year myself or early next year...I'm due, right after I knock out a few more training courses...

Funnily enough...

We're getting repeats of Mythbusters over here on this side of the pond, Monday evenings on BBC2. Last night we got the one with the airliner toilet seat. I can now grok in fullness the "stunt butt" gag towards the end of The Revolution Will Be Televised... and I hope to stop laughing in a few more days. :)

(A pity I'm in an area that can't (yet) get Channel 5, so I can see for myself what CSI: New Avalon would look like. Right now I'm "seeing" it like a radio play.)
