>I see you're looking forward to the new Issue 7 powersets. Thugs/ and >what secondary? Nah, he's a Mind Control/Psi Assault Dominator. (Mass Confusion = a riot!) This is my planned Thugs/Traps Mastermind:
A former gentleman bandit whose MO involved posing as domestic staff in wealthy homes, then sticking the place up and shooting it out with the cops to escape, Jim Corcoran found he was getting too old for that action after his last stretch in the Zig. Now he employs angry young urban men to do the heavy lifting, and tries to elevate their situation by his suave and debonair example. Thanks to his old MO, he's known to the authorities as the dastardly... Gunbutler! --G. -><- Benjamin D. >I get the feeling that you love those goggles almost as much as I do. IPaR is wearing the villain-only (for now) "Blast Goggles", but I do tend to use the "Techno" model as something of a signature item on many of my heroes. Captain Photon and the Silver Spectre both wear them, Gen. Rossum's cyber-eye is essentially one lens from a pair of Techno goggles... heck, even Doc Cyclone, my fledgling Storm/Electric Defender, wears them, and he's some kind of freakin' wizard. ("Scientific Thaumaturgist", if you please.) Mind you, they do different things. Spectre's are night-vision goggles, while Cap's are just the opposite - they're "holy CRAP, my powers cause a hell of a lot of glare" goggles. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. LAST EDITED ON Dec-21-11 AT 03:41 PM (EST) >IPaR is wearing the villain-only (for now) "Blast Goggles",D'oh! Some niggling detail was poking me, but I could'a sworn... >Mind you, they do different things.
They just look "all-purpose" in the design editor. For Utilitarian they're an exo-cortex, for Dragonflyer (and Aviatress's old costume) they look like pilot goggles. My compliments to whoever designed them, because for such a simple, small graphic, they are amazingly adaptable. On an unrelated note... Doc Cyclone sounds familiar. Has he shown up in any EPU stories, or are the only "Cyclones" those Robotech-based cycles from the CORE stories? |

Doc is, as far as I know, original as of a couple-three weeks ago. Nobody like him has appeared in UF that I can think of, and he certainly bears no relation to the Cyclone series of Veritech motorcycles. Here's what the hero information terminals in Paragon City have to say about him, if you have a Security Level of at least 1: Doc Cyclone Security Level 6 Cornelius R. >Based on a quick bit of research at Wikipedia, I would imagine that he >won the Silver Star for using his abilities to clear up the weather in >the area so that Allied forces could be resupplied. You win! In fact, he fought and won a long-range, sight-unseen sorcerers' duel with the SS weather mage team who were responsible for Bastogne being socked in in the first place. --G. -><- Benjamin D.
