"STO, again, maybe"
|
Hi, It's about time to think about playing STO again, at least when I get bored of BG3, and I wonder if anyone here still plays it; and if so if they've noticed whether the loud population have stopped being transphobic, nazis, or otherwise generally bigotted? L. |

I haven't touched it in years, although I have to say, the last time I did, I didn't notice any of the above. Then again, that may be as much because I go out of my way to interact with The Community as little as possible on the occasions when I play online multiplayer games... --G. -><- Benjamin D. I'm pretty much incapable of avoiding the chat, particularly since I really like being helpful when possible. It's always been kind of pad on ESD (but there's never been any content in ESD chat so turning that off isn't too bad) but some during the Trump years it spread out to all the actually useful channels, except the strictly functional ones with strong moderation. *sigh* L. |

I bet there's a reason for that which I can't remember now... --G. besides the fact that I've never watched anything set in that era and don't get any of the references, that is -><- Benjamin D. >Nope, nothing in that era. More completely, nothing produced since >Star Trek Into Darkness. Don't feel bad about Discovery because you haven't missed much. Remember when they were first talking up the series way back before the premiere and stated that, as part of this brand new foray into Trek television, they wanted a series where the focus of the story was on someone other than the captain? Yeah, well apparently whoever sent the instructions to the writing team wrote down "Turn her into a 'Mary Sue'" instead. -------------------------- CdrMike, Overwatch Reject "You know, the world could always use more heroes." - Tracer, Overwatch |

Honestly, Lower Decks, SNW and Prodigy are pretty fantastic start to finish. Well, start with Lower Decks second episode if you ever try it. The pilot episode leans very heavily on 'from the creators of rick and morty' to get the execs to greenlight the show, then turned into a love letter to the franchise the moment they weren't looking.
