   NXE while not a straight NGE fic. Is a good story IMHO. More or less
well written and all that. Might make a good Radio play if anyone had time for
it IMHO. (We already got Truss Casted :-) VA is supposed to tough but I can not
see why it would be so hard to play oneself). Just an Idea.

Another thing just read Exodus 3.8. I when I was reading the battle between Rei and Lucas Ellison with the former in full Angel mode and the EVA gone more primal than even Shinji/DJ's did, I couldn't help have "The Beast" from the EVA sound trak play in head.

I tend to end up with somewhat more thrashy tracks running in my head for that scene, though I never did actually track in a music cue for that scene. Were I going back and doing it now, chances are it would end up being something along the lines of Stabbing Westward's "The Thing I Hate".

In fact, now that you've made me think of it, I can't believe I missed that cue, as it's so obviously appropriate to the sequence:

Anyway, I'm fairly certain that the word need there is simply 'cast'.

Good to know I'm not the only nut who puts together mental sound tracks reading NXE <which brings up 3 songs that I've always thought appropriate to the story:
Nothing Else Matters --Metallica(before they sold their souls)
Gone Away --The Offspring(so many characters in the story have lost someone close to them, this just has to fit somewhere)
Shame --Stabbing Westward(Listen to the lyrics, I sorta think this is a Jon Ellison re: Rei song myself)
Anywho, enough rambling on this topic for me>

My creative process is very music-driven, but I often forget to include the music cues in the finished work.

I'm getting deja vu typing this, so I've probably mentioned it before (either that or They just changed the Matrix a little), but Truss and I made up three MOSAIC (Meta-Original Soundtrack And Image Collection) CDs for NXE, one for each season, plus I have a thrown-together MD entitled NXE Creative Process Abstract, 04/00 (no, we won't make copies for you). The second and third NXE MOSAICs got progressively less appropriate as development went on, since the story developed away from the track listings, but the first one is still pretty solid. I'll post the playlists and associations later if you're curious.

I don'thave this SW album, so I can't check it, but there are several tracks on Darkest Days which fit in quite nicely. "Save Yourself" did make it into Connections III as the Second Impact cue. I'm still kicking myself over missing "The Thing I Hate" in Ignie Ferroque. And as Jon-to-Rei songs go, in his darker moments you can't go wrong with "You Complete Me".

Seems very 'Jon angsting over being a demon while loving Rei' to me.

I was there for that discussion, but at that point in time I don't believe I had the log function turned on in my client (I had just gotten back into IRC and forgot a lot, okay?).
