"Symphogear"
|
Today's madness mantra is: Symphogear symphogear symphogear symphogear. SYMPHOGEAR symphogear. Sym-PHO-Gear. Symphogear. Why you are so... symphogear. Also known as best B-tier magical girl anime series of a decade. Starring magical girl warriors powered by singing. Whose transformation trinkets are fragments of ancient magitech relics. Everything nominal so far. We got sword-chan and MC, fist-chan, at first. Except relics are researched and redone into transformation trinkets by government's secret magitech/emergency response division. Except when head of said division met villain of first season in tight corridor, he almost cut the season short there and then, by outmaneuvering and beating said magical woman in close combat. Except the world is not a Earth - or future Earth, as it may be - as we know it, with kinda silly, but insane backstory that Symphogear picks and runs with. Except there's literal South American dictatorship backed up by Bavarian Illuminati (they are alchemists and very dangerous, because transformation trinkets? Super-alchemy.) It's silly and stupid and awesome and has a neat soundtrack. Also has neat references to Gundam and other good stuff. |

Rise from the depths, the thread! Symphogear. It's an anime series about Hibiki Tachibana, a magical girl with stacked templates "Mechashift", "Idol Singer" and "Muscle Wizard" She casts Fist as her means of interacting, in no particular order and amount, alchemists, ancient weapons of magic and science, scientists, reincarnating jealous sorceresses from ancient past, shuttle, gods, other vehicles, alchemical constructs of different kind and other magical girls.
