>Wasn't Minna supposed to be Austrian, not German? I could swear one of
>the three was... No, Minna is from Posen in eastern Karlsland (IRL, now Poznań in Poland), but she does have an association with Ostmark, in that she planned to study music in Vienna or Salzburg before the war made those places go away.
The only canonical Ostmarker I can think of off the top of my head is Laura Tóth in One-Winged Witches, who has one of the few truly horrific backstories in a franchise that, even as a war story, usually tends to skirt the straight-up Horror of War stuff. She's emotionally disconnected and death-wish-level reckless, because she's the only survivor of a rookie witch squadron that got slaughtered during the fall of Ostmark. (And come to think of it, she's actually Hungarian, not Austrian; Ostmark being the Austro-Hungarian Empire and all.)
