The shock of fully clothed witches clearly derails other trains of thought in most folks. Well that, or people just forget that Strike Witches is a semi-period piece as well as a show about the power of friendship and fanservice combined for a good cause.

Huh, it didn't look like it covered any less of her than her usual combat outfit, but I guess it is more form fitting than the uniform top she wears most often. I always pegged her as the blissfully unconcerned type about such matters though (as opposed to Lynne, who might well become incandescently embarrassed, or Shirly, who is entirely happy to flaunt what she's got with pride.)

Not sure if you or anyone is interested enough for a full explanation, and wouldn't just Google it up if you were, but I have to admit to actually laughing out loud at the magnitude of understatement involved in describing Tanya Degurechaff as merely having anger management issues. I give how she ended her first combat engagement as a representative sample.

D'you suppose her name is supposed to be Tanya Degtyaryov [sic*]? Because "Degtyaryov" is the name of a prominent Soviet weapons designer who was responsible for a number of WWII mainstays, most notably the PTRD-41 anti-tank rifle, which seems like the kind of thing that an anime studio would try to name a character in that kind of setting, and "Degurechaff" is exactly the kind of salad that I would expect to become of a Russian name transliterated into hiragana and then from there to Roman letters. :)

It's possible, though I believe the intent is also to make her name sound more like something that might have come from WWI era Germany, since her adjutant if a girl whose family fled the fall of the setting's equivalent of tsarist Russia and has the last name of Serebryakov, which does display the improper feminine form you note but is an actual Russian name generally correctly spelled.

Character names in the series seem to be a bit hit and miss with basis in reality in general, with one of Tanya's superiors being named Rerugen which seems to be made a made up, somewhat German sounding name, while another is named Rudersdorf, which is an actual location in Germany. And of course there's the seemingly required character named (or nicknamed) Weiss, because if German characters exist in a setting one of them is going to be called that one way or another.

They gain special class spells at every level, Summon Swarm (feline). The cantrip grade just summons kittens, but the serious versions summon bobcats, leopards, lions, and so on up to the the max level: Summon Swarm (Sabertooth Tigers).

The first time I read that, I would have sworn that it read "the catnip grade". Not that it would have been all that inappropriate...

You can usually get image file links to work by adding "?x" to the end of the filename--most web servers take that for a script call, and then, finding no script by that name, just ignore it and serve up the image, but DCF sees the link ending in something other than an image format's extension, so it doesn't try to inline it. It's a clunky trick, but it does usually work.
