|
LAST EDITED ON Jun-18-01 AT 10:12 AM (EDT) ...I learned from reading Eyrie fanfic.
- One man's trash is another's treasure. (UF: Redneck: the Quagmire Project)
- The true power of UNIX can be awe-inspiring. (UF: Core 1)
- It's OK, and even good, to date your coworkers. (UF: Core 3)
- Post-It Notes come in handy when you're lost. (UF: Hammer Time)
- Sometimes, the best man for the job is a woman. (NXE, various pieces)
- Baggage handlers can only be trusted to screw up. (UF: Soulsearch)
- There's nothing like a real burger. (UF: Burnin' Out)
- Death isn't always something to be afraid of. She's actually pretty cool. (UF: Core 3)
- Treat everyone nicely-- you never know when the people you thought were geeks in college will wind up running the universe. (UF, in general)
- Thou shalt not covet another man's wife (or girlfriend)-- he may come back and drive you insane, and then let her kill you. (UF, Passion)

Appended to Ard Sumhenner's list. There's no place like Worcester, there's no place like Worcester, there's no place like Worcester... (tap heels together). Of course, if that works, you're stuck in what is quite literally a festering pit of a city... but WPI is good... if you don't mind losing more privaleges every year as prices go up... -Craig

The Airboss Is God. If he tells you someone else has it, then someone else has it. If he tells you that YOU are that someone, take care of it. Otherwise, the entire command staff gets to renovate your digestive system from the bottom up. (Redneck: The Quagmire Project.) Even the dimmest of bulbs can give off astonishing light. (Type Mismatch Error) The road to Hell is paved with good intentions... but don't blame yourself if someone else lays the first cobblestone on the road for themselves. (Redneck: Wilderness. Damned Condorcets.) You are stronger than you think, and you will surprise yourself with how good you actually are. (Rite of Passage) Respect for tradition is a good thing... assuming that both sides hold traditions in the same respect in a duel. (Rite of Passage. All from NXE... Listen to your computer. It's probably smarter than you think. You can't possibly know how good you are with a gun until the situation arises. Don't ignore legends. Never point a gun at someone you're not willing to shoot. Do things because they're what you want to do, not because someone else doesn't want you to do them. The driving age in England is not discretionary. ;> Accept the fact that Angels usually don't try the same trick twice. Know who's the point and who's the mark, and don't get it mixed up. Bring the right equipment for the situation. If it looks like a sensor eye, assume it is a sensor eye. People with numbers for names cannot be trusted. ;> Pay attention in a fight. Things that sound like Really Bad Ideas when somebody else says them usually are. And perhaps most importantly: Do not, under any circumstances, engage EVA-01 in combat. -Eliot "Waugh?" Hmm, how about: -> Massive applications of firepower solve a great many problems <see 'Thundergod Prime'> -> A full auto reflex cannon is a beautiful thing -> Never spend a Sith's life savings on a derelict spaceship -> Beware redheads, they are almost always trouble <I dare someone to find a redhead in UF who ISN'T> -> reincarnation can be a bitch -> Satan isn't so bad;) -={(Astynax)}=- "Darkness beyond Twilight" |

Am I doing something wrong on my end, or have you (whoever 'you' is in this context) inadvertently coded the forum pages so IE thinks it should use Chinese-Simplified?)

At least, not in the anime. And in the second season of the anime, she and everyone in Cephiro is anorexic, at least if you take a hard look at the side profiles. >Bah! You just weren't paying attention. I dismiss you Dogbert-style. If that's the case, exactly how much attention would I have to be paying? "Who's the leader?" "Hikaru. She's got to be. She's wearing red." "The hell did THAT line come from?" "Well, Umi hadn't said anything in a while." "I dunno... Ferio and Fuu?" "Sure, why not? It's not like their personalities clash." "Ferio -has- a personality." "And Fuu doesn't! Opposites attract, you know." "Ah, character development." "And it only took them twelve episodes." Still, it's better than Fushigi Yuugi. -Eliot "All quotes taken from UCJAS viewing sessions" Lefebvre -=()=- We're only given a little time in our lives to waste. Make the most of it.
