"Taken by Storm: The Expanding Russian Frontier"
|
Possibly to no one's surprise, Taken by Storm has upped and trilogified on us. Goodbye and Hello, As Always remains the title of the final part, now third. We haven't quite settled on a new title for Part II yet. In worse news, classes resume at the University of Maine on Tuesday, and as I'm taking four 400-level history courses (and a 100-level one that fits an arbitrary requirement I just learned of) this fall in an attempt to complete the coursework requirements* for my BA, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep working on EPU projects during the semester itself. If I am, it almost certainly won't be at the rate I've been going at this summer. In better news, a great deal (more than 200K, which is how we knew a Part III would be necessary) of Part II is already done, so that, at least, will probably not be a direct casualty of this development. Feast or famine around here. We apologize for the inconvenience, etc. One of the several reasons I've never seriously considered going legit - no editor who was paying for this stuff would put up with work patterns like this. :) --G. * If you're keeping score at home, there's still a final project to do after that, and at least two years' worth of work left on the Mechanical Engineering Tech BS; I may not be able to finish that one. I need to update my college blog, which I neglected all of last year after being sidetracked by the Kidney Adventure. -><- Benjamin D. So we're to take this as an official announcement that the Summer of Symphony 2013 is coming to a close? I feel like there should be... I dunno. A commemorative coin. Fireworks in the shape of Corwin's head. Something to mark the occasion. -Merc Keep Rat "A friendly desert community where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful, and mysterious lights pass overhead while we all pretend to sleep. Welcome to Night Vale." |

Oh Christ, now you've got me thinking about Official (Likely Un)Licensed Wedding Tat for Corwin and Utena's wedding. Especially the first time Utena finds it... "Corwin, honey? Why are you a soup tureen?" "... And in Standard, we say 'Good morning'." "No, seriously, we're all over a sixty-four piece set of commemorative bone china and I don't know why." "This is the LAST TIME I will ever let Nall handle the wedding gifts." --- "Yeah, I'm definitely going to hell/But I'll have all the best stories to tell" -- Frank Turner, The Ballad of Me and My Friends |

"Maybe this isn't as bad as we think it is. Do our friends know yet?" "Are you kidding me? Nall is re-selling this stuff in Midgard on eBay at a 15% markup! My -mom- bought a complete set. Aunt Bell bought -two-." "This calls for a measured response. I've narrowed it down so far to 'change our identities, flee to the Rim' and 'secret murders.'" "I'm pretty invested in being Corwin. Tell me more about this 'murders' thing." -Merc Keep Rat "A new man came into town today. Who is he? What does he want from us? Why his perfect and beautiful haircut? Why his perfect and beautiful coat? He says he is a scientist. Well, we have all been scientists and one point or another in our lives. But why now?" |
