Okay, so. Shift Gear's a boosting move almost unique to the Klinklang evolutionary line - it doubles your Speed stat and increases your Attack stat by 50%. Gear Grind, however, is the Klinklang line's signature move - literally no other Pokémon can learn it. It only has 50 base power, but it hits twice, and it's a Steel-type move so it does 50% bonus damage when used by a Steel-type Pokémon like Klinklang. There's also a move called Substitute, where the user sacrifices some health to hide behind a big doll. Pokémon is weird. The doll takes damage instead of the opponent, giving you time to use an item, or a boosting move, or just plain old hide behind something and blast your opponents to death with fire or lightning or a meaty kick to the Voltorbs. Once the Substitute breaks, the opponent can attack you again. The really good thing about moves that hit twice is that if the first hit breaks the Substitute, the second one hits the Pokémon that was hiding behind it. It's handy!
Also, if you're curious, here is a non-Embiggenated Klinklang (though I don't think there's much difference):-
be not afraid
